World 1-65: Factory Balls 2

Game 65: Factory Balls 2
http://www.kongregate.com/games/bontegames/factory-balls-2

Somehow I ended up with the screen shot for this one before the screenshot of the original Factory Balls game, but I know I beat the first game before this.

As with the first Factory Balls game, you need a certain level of patience and understanding to finish this game. You start each level with a solid white ball, and you must follow the design on the picture given for each level to style the ball and move forward. It starts out fairly simple, but as you get going, each level gets progressively harder than the last. You are given a set amount of balls from the beginning, which act for the most part like the standard life system of many video games. The only difference is, with each level you complete, a ball is used up. So right from the beginning of the game, you can allot yourself with a certain amount of screw ups before you have to start from the top again.

Overall, the idea is unique and carried out well, with new additions and expansions from the first Factory Balls game. It's a great game to check out if you're feeling in the mood for a puzzle or two.

World 1-64: Enough Plumbers

Enough Plumbers

This game was actually a lot of fun. As you can deduce from the picture and title of the game, it's sort of an homage to the one and only Mario. However, this game plays a lot differently than the 1985 NES game we all know and love. Enough Plumbers features addictive music and a very unique take on game play. You must navigate your way through 25 short levels by creating clones of yourself, accomplished by collecting coins. You must clear each levels obstacles to reach the final flag post to move on to the next level.

There are many interesting obstacles in each level, such as walls of fire that can be dominated by collecting conveniently placed chili peppers. Many levels also feature coloured blocks that block your path (similar to the switch palaces from Super Mario World on Super Nintendo, only reversed) which can be opened by activating a switch nearby. Each level is progressively harder than the last, and towards the end of the game it becomes quite difficult to clear the levels. I actually had to stop playing, and come back a month and a half later to finish the game. Overall, it was definitely worth the play for this very well composed and enjoyable game.

World 1-63: Demolition City

Demolition City

Demolition City is a great puzzle game themed after blowing up buildings strategically with dynamite. It was put together very well, featuring 20 levels with catchy music and cool sound effects that emphasize your strategic destruction. It's a short but fun game that calculates your damage in a dollar amount, which adds to the amusement of the game.

World 1-62: 3D Logic

3D Logic

3D Logic is a very interesting logical thinking game. Each level features a cube with a few different colours, each with a start and finish that you need to connect by drawing a line between them. It starts out simple and works its way into some very difficult levels. 3D Logic takes a very refreshing outlook on puzzle games and challenges your mind with some very intricate puzzles.

World 1-61: Viricide

Viricide

Viricide is a simple yet extremely enjoyable shooting game. The colours work great, and the upgrade system is one of the best I've come across for a game on Kongregate. The final upgrade isn't impossible to obtain, and it actually does an appropriate amount of damage too. There is a story line for this game, but as with most games, I skipped through it and went straight for the game play. All in all, this game was put together very well, and while the graphics aren't state of the art, they are very clean appealing, which is a much better quality to have than high def graphics. As one of my favourite games on Kongregate, I highly recommend this game for some straight up blasting fun with very little learning curve if you've ever tried a shooter before.

World 1-60: Snail

Snail

Honestly, I only beat this game to get the achievement. I know I start a lot of Kongregate games with the sole intention of gathering achievements, but usually I can get into the game while I strive for the achievement, otherwise I'd find a different achievement to work towards. This game, however, was nothing like that. It dragged on forever (I think that was part of the joke) and was not enjoyable in the slightest. In fact, I'm giving this game my first zero rating, because it was so boring.

World 1-59: Red Remover

Red Remover

Red remover is a point and click puzzle game that is actually quite addicting. All you need to do is remove the red shapes while saving the green shapes using simple strategy to ensure you've done everything correctly. You have unlimited continues, so while it may take you awhile to get some levels down pat, it's easy enough to complete this game.
