World 1-33: Mega Man X3

Mega Man X3
~SNES

This is probably the second time I've ever beat this game. It definitely doesn't compare to it's two predecessors; while it had the same general feel to the game play as the first two X games, it felt a little clunky to me. It was still quite a decent game, expanding a lot on the first two X games. In Mega Man X3, they kept the staple upgrades introduced for the X series: the extra heart tanks to upgrade your health, the usual four body upgrades (legs, body, helmet, and X-Buster), and there was even a chip system introduced to the game, each of which would give you a different upgrade. The best chip however was the golden chip, which gave you all the pros from the other chips combined, and turned your suit gold. Talk about fancy!

One of the other cool features in Mega Man X3 is the ability to call in Zero, and actually play as him too. However, you can't collect upgrades with Zero or use him in boss battles. It was kind of a tease, but a good one at that. Mega Man X3 took me 3.5 hours to complete. I would consider playing it again in the future, but if I had the choice, I would definitely pick Mega Man X2 first.
